Our Meetings

Members of Heart to Heart Quilts Lanark County volunteer their skills and generosity to create beautiful quilts for people living with debilitating diseases and conditions. Over the past ten years, we have become a family of sorts, caring about one another and working together to make a positive difference in our community, living our motto: From our hearts to your heart.

Working Session

Sew and Tell

On meeting days, members are always busy with one aspect or another of making a quilt. This includes:

  • cutting fabric

  • hand-sewing and/or quilting

  • machine sewing quilt tops, and,

  • using the long-arm quilting machine to fuse together the layers of a quilt.

Each meeting includes a 'Sew and Tell' time so members can display their finished quilts for all to admire. A volunteer team of members examines all completed quilts in order to ensure high quality production. Regular meetings are held the first and third Thursday of each month and they keep members informed and up-to-date on the business of the organization.

All are welcome!

All interested in sewing and learning to make quilts with HHQLC are welcome to become members. We have numerous quilters who help to guide those who need assistance. No equipment is required to become a member ~ just a desire to want to help others. All necessary quilt-making materials and equipment are available for members to use while at the church.
